Un rip de pe o inregistrare facuta cu camera digitala. Cateodata e folosit un mini tripod, dar de cele mai multe ori asta nu este posibil, deci camera poate tremura. De asemenea locul in sala nu este de cele mai multe ori favorabil, si filmarea se poate face dintr-un oarecare unghi. Daca este facut corect este greu de deosebit, cu exceptia cazului in care filmul este subtitrat, subtitrarea este scosa de obicei prin aplicarea unor borduri simetrice negre sus si jos. Sunetul este cel dat de microfonul camerei, si mai ales in cazul comediilor, capteaza si rasul din sala. Astfel imaginea si sunetul sunt slabe calitativ, dar in conditiile in care se filmeaza intr-o sala aproape goala, putem avea norocul sa dam de un release bunicel.

A cam is a theater rip usually done with a digital video camera. A mini tripod is sometimes used, but a lot of the time this wont be possible, so the camera make shake. Also seating placement isn’t always idle, and it might be filmed from an angle. If cropped properly, this is hard to tell unless there’s text on the screen, but a lot of times these are left with triangular borders on the top and bottom of the screen. Sound is taken from the onboard microphone of the camera, and especially in comedies, laughter can often be heard during the film. Therefore picture and sound quality are usually quite poor, but sometimes we’re lucky, and the theater will be fairly empty and a fairly clear signal will be heard.

• TS = TELESYNC

Telesyncul este asemanator CAM-ului, cu exceptia faptului ca utilizeaza o sursa audio externa, cel mai des emitator audio din scaun pentru persoane cu auz slab. O sursa audio directa nu asigura o calitate buna a sunetului, deoarece pot interfera multe sunete de fundal. De cele mai multe ori este filmat intr-un cinematograf gol, sau direct din camera de proiectie cu o camera profesionala, avand astfel o calitate mai buna a imaginii. Totusi calitatea variaza mult de aceea este recomandat sa verificati intai mostra din release inainte de a-l downloada. O mare parte a telesyncurilor sunt CAM-uri etichetate eronat.

A telesync is the same spec as a CAM except it uses an external audio source, most likely an audio jack in the chair for hard of hearing people. A direct audio source does not ensure a good quality audio source, as a lot of background noise can interfere. A lot of the times it is filmed in an empty cinema or from the projection booth with a professional camera, giving a better picture quality. Quality ranges drastically, check the sample before downloading the full release. A high percentage of Telesyncs are CAMs that have been mislabeled.

Aparatul Telecine copiaza filmul digital de pe rola. Sunetul si imaginea ar trebui sa fie bune avand in vedere echipamentul, care nu e deloc obisnuit, si costul acestuia. In general filmul are aspectul corect de incadrare in ecran, desi exista si telecine 4:3.
TC nu trebuie confundat cu TimeCode, care este counterul vizibil pe ecran in timpul filmului.

A telecine machine copies the film digitally from the reels. Sound and picture should be very good, but due to the equipment involved and cost telecines are fairly uncommon. Generally the film will be in correct aspect ratio, although 4:3 telecines have existed.
TC should not be confused with TimeCode , which is a visible counter on screen throughout the film.

• SCR (VHS.SCR)= SCREENER

Este o caseta VHS, trimisa inainte de lansare magazinelor de inchirieri sau altor locuri in scopuri promotionale. Un screener are de obicei un aspect 4:3, desi screenere letterboxed au existat. Principala problema este un "ticker" (un mesaj care se plimba pe ecran cu copyright-ul si numarul de telefon anti-copiere). De asemenea, daca banda contine numere de inregistrarea sau alte semne dupa care se poate identifica provenienta, acestea trebuiesc si ele blocate, de obicei cu o banda neagra. Aceasta dureaza uneori cateva secunde, alteori tot filmul, si unele poti fi chiar mari. In functie de echipamentul folositi, calitatea screener-ului variaza de la excelenta, realizat de pe un MASTER, la foarte proasta, realizata pe un video-recorder obisnuit prin captura inferior calitativa. Cele mai multe screenere sunt transformate in VCD, dar au existat si cateva SVCD, unele chiar foarte bune.

A pre VHS tape, sent to rental stores, and various other places for promotional use. A screener is supplied on a VHS tape, and is usually in a 4:3 , although letterboxed screeners are sometimes found. The main draw back is a “ticker” (a message that scrolls past at the bottom of the screen, with the copyright and anti-copy telephone number). Also, if the tape contains any s*rial numbers, or any other markings that could lead to the source of the tape, these will have to be blocked, usually with a black mark over the section. This is sometimes only for a few seconds, but unfortunately on some copies this will last for the entire film, and some can be quite big. Depending on the equipment used, screener quality can range from excellent if done from a MASTER copy, to very poor if done on an old VHS recorder through poor capture equipment on a copied tape. Most screeners are transferred to VCD, but a few attempts at SVCD have occurred, some looking better than others.

• DVDscr = DVD-SCREENER

Mesajul este de obicei in afara benzilor negre si va deranja vizionarea. Daca ripper-ul stie ce face, un DVDscr ar trebui sa fie foarte bun. Se transfera de obicei in SVCD sau XviD.

The ticker is not usually in the black bars, and will disrupt the viewing. If the ripper has any skill, a DVDscr should be very good. Usually transferred to SVCD or DivX/XviD.

De fapt acelasi lucru cu un DVD Screener cu diferenta ca este vorba de DVD legal lansat in Rusia pentru a scadea activitatea de piratare a filmelor in aceasta tara. Varianta retail este scoasa rapid de studiouri, asa ca nu este optimizata aproape deloc sau chiar deloc preluarea telecine. Ca rezultata pot aparea zgarieturi, fire de par sau alte mizerii pe film, greu sezizabile totusi la prima vedere. Basically the same as DVD Screener - this kind of release is legal DVD released in Russia to decrease the level of pirated movies in this country. Retail is rushed out by the studio, so there is little to no cleanup of the film after the telecine process. As a result, you can see some scratches, hairs or other mess on the picture, but you will hardly notice it while watching. External English audio is often used, as these are supplied with Russian sound by default.

Workprintul este o copie a unui film care nu a fost terminat. Pot diferi de versiunea finala: scene lipsa sau in plus, scene needitate iar calitatea varieza de la excelent la foarte prost. WPurile reprezinta un bonus de colectie, pe langa varianta finala.

Itcan be different from the final print: be missing scenes, extra scenes, unedited scenes and music, and quality can range from excellent to very poor.WPs can be nice additions to the collection once a good quality final has been obtained.

• DivX Re-Enc

DivX Re-Enc este luat de pe sursa VCD si reencodat intr-un fisier avi. Abunda pe sistemele P2P, sunt adesea etichetate Film.Nume.Grup(1of2) etc. Grupuri cunoscute care fac asta sunt SMR si TND. Nu merita downloada-ate decat daca doriti o copie mai mica a unui film. De evitat.

A DivX re-enc is a film that has been taken from its original VCD source, and re-encoded into a small DivX file. Most commonly found on file sharers, these are usually labeled something like Film.Name.Group(1of2) etc. Common groups are SMR and TND. These aren’t really worth downloading, unless you’re that unsure about a film u only want a 200mb copy of it. Generally avoid.

Multe filme provin de pe Asian Silvers/PDVD (vezi mai jos) si sunt etichetate de persoanele responsabile. De obicei cu o litera sau cu un mic logo, in unul din colturi. Cunoscute sunt insemnele "Z" "A" si "Globe".

Nu este format, in sensul codecului sursei, este Unrated o versiune ce difera evident de cea rated prezentat la concursuri si etc...pentru asta citeste pe imdb.
